Hi everyone, we are too close to the end for posts. Finally I finished reading "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky. Actually, I liked this novel because it is a sincere story and I liked the way Charlie shared his life events, feelings, emotions, thoughts and more... I really enjoyed while reading my novel. In the end, there was a surprise ending in the story. It was strange, I think Chbosky is really creative. I couldn't imagine an end like this.
If I would be the author, I would write the end of the novel in a different way.
" Charlie was in the hospital after for two months. He learned that he should not allow people to do wrong things. Especially if the people are doing things that is harmful for his own mental and physical health, against him. He had explained the worst and most effective things his Aunt Helen did to him when he was in the hospital. He was regretful for the thing he did to himself. He must had told his phsyciatris that he had an important problem in his life from his childhood. While he was thinking about his entire life, Sam and Patrick came up. When they came up, Charlie got happy and wanted to hug them. He was in a very emotional situation. They shouldn't came up right now. Then Patrick started the talking. "How are you Charlie?" he said. Like he said a strange thing, Charlie looked emotionless and said "Fine". Then Sam said that it was the time Charlie was going out of the hospital and he told that he got rid of from that area. Charlie prepared and they went. After some time, it was the time Sam must go to the university. Charlie was very unhappy and when Sam saw him like that, she couldn't stnad that situation and told the surprise. She was not leaving Charlie and she told that she found the best university in the city. Charlie didn't want her to do this, because her life and education was very important and because of him, he didn't like the things go in this way. It was a weird situation for him."
Here this is my Wordle of the novel:

Here this is my Wordle of the novel:
I chose to make my wordle in this way. It looks chaotic, beause this novel's main character who is Charlie's mind is also chaotic with a lot of life elements like beeing teenage, the mistery that his Aunt Helen did to him and effected him in a bad way, his love to a person who is older than him and more. I chose the green, white and blue colors, because they look nice and natural with each other. Also, Charlie is a sincere and natural character and in this way, I represented his personality with the colors.

Hi everyone, today I prepared a timeline about "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky. In the timeline, I wrote the most important 6 parts for Charlie's life I read so far. As I mentioned before, I like this book because it is not boring and I think it is a close book. I liked the way Charlie tells his memories. I hope you will like the timeline I prepared for my reading class. I worked on prezi.com to make my timeline.

Hi everyone, in my third post my responsibility is to write a compare and contrast pharagraph about my past and current novel. I chose If I stay by Gale Forman to compare with The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.
The difference between If I Stay and The Perks of Being a Wallflower is:
Charlie's mother, who is the mother of the main character in The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a quiet and calm person. Besides, when she says something, she knows what she says and when she should say something. ''My mom chooses her battles carefully, and I can tell you one thing about my family. When my mom does say something, she always gets her way. And this time was no exception. My sister stopped crying immediately." (p25) But in If I Stay the main character's (Mia's) best friend's (Kim's) mother is a very emotional person and in a dramatic situation, immediately she starts to cry. She can't handle with this. (Senna Super Summarizer)
The similarity between If I Stay and The Perks of Being a Wallflower is:
The main characters of If I Stay and The Perks of Being a Wallflower are both deep thinkers, who are Mia and Charlie. They both are thinking and analyzing about the problems they have in their mind. Mia's problem is staying alive and getting rid of the serious sick position in the hospital. "What would it be like if I stay? What would it feel like to wake up an orphan?... to stay without them? I am not sure this is a world I belong in anymore. I am not sure that I want to wake up." (p164) Charlie's problem is being in love with a person, who is older than him and also who is going out with another guy. "To tell you the truth, I love Sam. It's not a movie kind of love either. I just look at her sometimes, and I think she is the prettiest and nicest person in the whole world. She is also very smart and fun. I wrote her a poem after I saw her in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but I didn't show it to her because I was embrassed." (p47-48)

Hi
everyone! I am going to share my
favorite scene in “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” book that I read so far. My favorite scene in the book is when Sam
kissed Charlie, because this scene has more than one emotions for both of the
characters and also, I have some questions about that kissing scene. When everybody finished to give their secret
Santa presents, Sam and Charlie went Sam’s bedroom and first, Sam asked a few
questions whether or not he had ever kissed a girl. Charlie’s answer was “no”. Sam told that her first kiss was with her dad’s
friend. Sam got sad when she remembered
that, and she said to Charlie that the person who kisses first him, loves
him. In this way, I think she wanted
Charlie to do not feel like her, because her first kiss was not a love
kiss. I also think that maybe she kissed
Charlie because she was drunk. Besides,
she might feel like she also love him in the way, because she told that she
wanted to get rid of all things for a minute.
The questions in my mind are:
-Is
Sam loving Charlie in the way?
-Why
Sam goes out with Craig, if she loves Charlie?
-What
is the real reason that Sam kissed Charlie?
The
quotes from this scene in the book are:
- “Charlie… have you ever kissed a
girl?” (page 69)
- “ I know that you know I like Craig.
And I know that I told you not to think of me that way. And I know that we
can’t be together like that. But I want to froget all hose things for a
minute. Okay?” (page 70)

In ''The Perks of Being a wallflower'',
there is a boy named Charlie and he writes letters to someone that he hasn't
met. These letters are like Charlie's diary. I think it is a mysterious thing
and being the reader of these letters are enjoyable. Charlie is a pretty
emotional teenage boy and he is 15 years old. He has an older brother and an
older sister. Charlie is a deep thinker person and he is really trustable
because he sees everything happening in his environment and he doesn't tell
these things as gossips like most of the people do. Michael was a good friend
of Charlie and he killed himself because of his problems at home.In the part of
the book that I read so far, he talks about his family. He was very close to
his Aunt Helen more than his brother, sister, mother or father. Unfortunately,
Aunt Helen had past away. His sister likes tough guys because she was provoking
a guy and at last the guy hitted her and after that, she got close to him. Charlie
even caught them in a bad position.Charlie wrote an essay about the book that
his English teacher had offered. He is also in shop class and he encounters
with a person named Patrick at a football match. Sam stands beside Patrick and they are
step-siblings. Even though Sam was older than Charlie, Charlie had some
feelings about her and he told these. Than Patrick had a conversation with
Charlie about ''going out'' issues.Charlie's father learned that her sister is
''going out'' with a boy who hits her and he talks with his daughter to not
even look at the boy who teats you bad. Also, he goes to the guy's family and
says them that their son must be stay away from his daughter. Charlie is a
little bit sad, because his father learned this from Bill, who is Charlie's
close teacher and Charle had told this to Bill.Sam and Patrick brought Charlie
to a party. He got stoned with an unordinary brownie. He saw Patrick and Brad
who are homosexual and promised Patrick to do not say anything about the issue
to anyone. Patrick told that Charlie was a ''wallflower'', because he saw
things but he doesn't say them and understands.

I think, the most proper song for my main character's feelings or mood so far is ''I wanna hold your hand'' by ''The Beatles''. Because Charlie loves Sam even though she is older than him and she knows that Charlie loves him, but she doesn't see Charlie in this way. Charlie tries to suppress his feelings to Sam in the way, but when Sam even says something very ordinary to him, he gets happy and some weird feelings in his stomach. Also, when Sam held his hand when he stoned at Bob's party, he felt more than happy. I think this is the song for his feelings in his mind.
